How to insert image slider menu into joomla? 2007/04/14 22:31
Hello brandon,

I want to have the image slider menu on the front page of my joomla. To manage the front page, i`m using Ijoomla magazine.

1. How do i insert the menu into the frontpage?
2. As it is now, the image slider menu moves from left to right. How do i make it to move from above to bottom?
Right now, you have positioned your images horizontally. How do i position it vertically? I`m very new to CSS & html. I hope you can help me out by providing some alteration to the file. Thank you.

Please advise. Once again, Thank you.

Are you referring to the Image Slider Menu in the new tutorial series or the new plugin that has recently come out for Joomla that gives you this effect (see it here: http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,2086/Itemid,35/).

If you are doing it manually and you just want to change it from horizontal to vertical, there is a post on the MooTools forum about this:
http://forum.mootools.net/viewtopic.php?id=2087

Try these out and let me know what you think.

hello brandon,

i have tried the kwick module for joomla. Apparently, I am also using Front Page Slideshow by joomlaworks.

When i load both kwick module and frontpage slideshow on the same page, the frontpage slideshow is not working as it should. It doesnt rotate the images/pictures (in firefox). In IE, the slideshow doesnt work and the kwicks doesnt animate.

The frontpage slideshow is using prototype.lite.js, moo.fx.js, moo.fx.pack.js. Could it be due to the file conflicts? if so, what are the solution?

Please advise.thank u.

Yeah you definatly will have conflicts using prototype and Mootools. Try using a different library, if you can.

Unfortunately, MooTool, as good as a library it is, causes alot of conflicts.

What other library than you can suggest for the FrontPage Slideshow by www.joomlaworks.com

The thing is, I want to use a image rotator and also possibly the kwick menu on my front page.
